Location: Southeast Alaska
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: November 24th, 2025 – January 2nd, 2026
Compensation:
- $885 daily rate (paid every day on assignment)
- $1327.50 holiday daily rate (limited holidays apply)
- 2 paid travel days (1 arrival, 1 departure), paid at the daily rate
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday: 9:00am-5:00pm
- Shared after hours call
About: We're seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a Locum Tenens role in beautiful Southeast Alaska. You'll be providing holiday coverage from late November 2025 through early January 2026 in a close-kit village that's as adventurous as it is remote and known for it's striking beauty and rich culture. Responsibilities:
- Patient Volume, Clinic: Averages 10 patients per day
- Patient Volume, Call: Averages 1-2 per day
- Staffing Mix: Health Aides on staff
Position Requirements:
- Active Alaska State Nurse Practitioner (NP) license or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Active BLS, ACLS, ATLS
- PALS preferred
- Active DEA registration
- Minimum 2 years experience in emergency medicine
- Solid primary care skills
- Direct experience with medevac and patient care stabilization including intubations, chest tubes, and complicated airways; must have strong suturing skills
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
