2541S  Excellent Opportunity to Experience Remote, Rural Alaska and Make Excellent Money too!  Make Over $7800 Per Week!  

This is your chance to take an Alaskan adventure and make great money while you do it!  We are currently looking for 4-5 Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners who can do both emergency on-call and primary care. Providers will rotate their preferred schedules, in an effort to provide continuity of care. This is a position for high level emergency medicine providers who will be on call for emergencies in a very remote village. Provider must be extremely flexible, capable of working alone, able to think on their feet, be a team player, experienced in remote medicine, and truly committed to excellent patient care. 

Dates: ASAP and Ongoing – Start date is negotiable if you cannot start ASAP.

OVERVIEW:

  • Locum Tenens
  • Primary Care and Emergency Care
  • Familiar with remote solo sites
  • Familiar with Alaskan terrain and weather conditions
  • Assignments Starting at 2 Weeks
  • Monday to Friday 8am (or 9am) to 5pm 
  • Patient Volume – Averages less than 5 per day

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

  • Pay: $870 per day for every day you are in the village; $250 per day for On Call  – (That's $31,360 per month!) 
    • Holidays are $1305 per day
  • Paid travel at the beginning and end of the assignment
  • Housing and travel expenses included and are arranged for you
  • Medical malpractice insurance provided
  • 1099 contractor position

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Active Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License with State of Alaska
  • BLS, ACLS
  • PALS, and ATLS Preferred but not required
  • Active DEA Registration 
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in emergency and primary medicine
  • Previous experience working bush Alaska highly preferred
  • Must be able to work independently in a solo provider site
  • Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture.
