ANY State License, Two-Week Rotations in SW Alaska, Great Pay, Locum NP/PA, EM Skills Required

4411D A series of remote clinics located in SW Alaska needs coverage for two- week rotations (longer is preferred) ongoing. Create your own schedule as far out as you'd like. This position includes a daily rate and per diem.  Hospital takes first call on emergency line.  Very rewarding work to bring healthcare to these remote communities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to really use your medical skills to their fullest and provide much needed care to these communities. This position is for primary care clinic and ER call; work solo when on-call with a health aide for backup if needed. Hospital in Anchorage will take first call, health aides take second call Monday-Friday. Physicians are just a phone call away or a short flight if needed. OB experience is very helpful but not required.

OVERVIEW:

  • Work under any state license
  • Locum Tenens NP or PA
  • Primary Care, Urgent Care and Emergency, OB experience is highly preferred
  • Outpatient Clinic M-F 8am – 5pm
  • Emergency call after hours is shared
    • Hospital in Anchorage takes first call 
    • Health Aides takes second call M-F
    • APP takes call Sat-Sun

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

  • Pay: $900.00 daily rate, 7 days per week
  • Per Diem: $62.00, 7 days per week
  • W-2 position
  • Medical malpractice insurance provided
  • Housing and travel expenses included

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Any state license is accepted because you become a temporary employee of the THO
  • BLS, ACLS required, ATLS and PALS preferred and highly recommended, CALS accepted
  • Active DEA Registration
  • Primary care, urgent care and emergency experience 
  • OB is highly preferred
  • Remote medicine experience
  • Minimum 2 years of solo full-spectrum emergency experience required.
  • Must have direct patient care experience with stabilization and medevac, including intubations, chest tubes, complicated airways and strong suturing skills.

Family and pets are not allowed due to housing within clinic.
