Date Range: July 22nd – 28th, 2025
Compensation: Hourly Rate
Key Job Details:
- Schedule: 8:00am to 8:00pm
- Compensation Details: $280.00 hourly rate
Responsibilities:
- Runs medivacs from the villages
- Provides triage phone support for the villages
- Shared call with other ED physicians
- Staffing Mix: Full hospital support team
Position Requirements:
- Active AK Physician License & DEA are not required to start this position. However, provider must intend to obtain in the near future.
- ABEM credential preferred, but not required
- Active BLS & ACLS
- ATLS & PALS preferred, but not required; CALS accepted
- Minimum 2 years of solo full-spectrum emergency experience
- Direct experience with medivac and patient care stabilization including intubations, chest tubes, and complicated airways; must have strong suturing skills
- Alaska bush experience highly preferred
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
