Job Type: Locum Tenens
Date Range: October 2025 and ongoing
Compensation: Daily Rate + Per Diem + Incentive Pay

Key Job Details:

  • Assignments: 
    • Specific rotation dates are flexible – work around your personal life!
    • 2-4 week-long rotations are preferred
  • Schedule:
    • Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
    • Shared emergency call after hours and on weekends
  • Compensation Breakdown:
    • $900.00 daily rate (earned every day on assignment)
    • $62.00 per diem rate (earned every day on assignment)
    • $225.00 incentive pay (earned every day on assignment)

Responsibilities: 

  • Patient Volume, Clinic: Averages 5-10 per day
  • On-Call Volumes: Variable, can be heavy at times
  • Staffing Mix: Solo provider assignments but typically health aides are on -staff; Physician consultations available by phone 24/7

Position Requirements: 

  • Active Alaska State Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
  • Active BLS & ACLS
  • ATLS & PALS highly preferred, but not required; CALS accepted
  • Active DEA registration
  • Primary Care, Urgent Care, and Emergency Medicine experience
  • OB experience highly preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of solo full-spectrum emergency experience
  • Direct experience with medivac and patient care stabilization including intubations, chest tubes, and complicated airways; must have strong suturing skills
  • Alaska bush experience highly preferred
  • Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
