Location: Interior Alaska
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: ASAP and Ongoing (Locum-to-Perm option available)
Compensation:
- Hourly Rate: $106.00
- 2 paid travel days (1 arrival, 1 departure)
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm, or 8:30am-5:30pm
- Call: Not required (may be optional if the provider is interested)
About: Step into a role that blends professional fulfillment with Alaskan adventure. We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner to provide full-spectrum primary care in an outpatient setting. This is a great opportunity to serve a diverse community while helping bridge coverage for this client's permanent provider search. You’ll work alongside a supportive care team and enjoy a consistent weekday schedule, all while exploring the excitement and culture of Alaska’s Interior region.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Volume: 16-18 patients per day
- Staffing Mix: 1 clinical support staff per shift; Collaborative team with CMO and additional providers on-staff
- Provide comprehensive primary and preventative care across the lifespan
- Routine exams, wellness checks, suturing of uncomplicated wounds, simple skin biopsies, cryotherapy for warts
- Point-of-care testing
Position Requirements:
- Active Alaska State Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Active BLS, ACLS
- Active DEA registration
- Minimum 2 years experience in Primary Care or Family Medicine
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
