Location: Southeast Alaska

Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract

Date Range: ASAP for 3-6 months with the possibility of extending or permanent placement

Compensation: 

  • Hourly Rate Starting at: $220

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (day and night). 3 weeks on-site, 1 week off.

About: We are looking for a highly skilled Hospitalist for a 3-6-month Locum Tenens Medical Director assignment in a beautiful town nestled in Southeast Alaska. In this stunning location, the mountains meet the sea, and natural beauty is surrounding. This position consists of about 50% direct patient care with the remainder of your time focused on administrative duties. You'll deliver care across all age groups and work with a fantastic team of dedicated providers and staff. Are you ready to take your skills to somewhere extraordinary?

Responsibilities:

  • Direct Patient Care
  • Medical Staff Leadership & Oversight
  • Quality & Clinical Performance Oversight
  • Utilization & Care Coordination
  • Administrative Duties

Position Requirements: 

  • Active Alaska State Physician (MD/DO) license
  • Completed Accredited Residency (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Med/Peds, or Emergency Medicine)
  • Board Certification (ABFP, ABIM, or ABEM)
  • Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS
  • Active DEA registration
  • Supervises hospital-based physicians and APPs
  • Minimum 5-years clinical experience, including 2-years as Hospitalist (ED experience is preferred)
  • 2-years of administrative experience, including supervision and program management
