Location: Southern Alaska

Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract

Date Range: February 2nd – July 15th, 2026 (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off or 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off)

We’re looking for 2 providers total!

Schedule:

  • 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, or 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off (choose your schedule and travel home between rotations!)
  • Clinic: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • On-Call: Every day while on assignment

Compensation:

  • $755.00 daily rate (earned every day on assignment)
  • $65.52 per diem rate (earned every day on assignment)
  • $115.00 per hour call-back rate
  • 2 paid travel days (1 arrival, 1 departure) paid at the daily rate + per diem

About: We’re seeking 2 experienced NPs or PAs for solo-assignments in remote villages across Southern Alaska. Here, you’ll provide primary care, urgent care, and emergency services to small communities. This position offers a flexible schedule with the chance to travel home between rotations. Responsibilities:

  • Patient volume, clinic: Averages 10 patients per day
  • Patient volume, emergencies: Averages 1-2 per week
  • On-Call Details: Call volumes are typically very light
  • Staffing Mix: Solo-Provider assignment, but there may be a Health Aide available for support

Position Requirements:

  • Active Alaska State Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Active BLS & ACLS
  • ATLS & PALS preferred, but not required
  • Active DEA registration
  • Significant primary care & emergency experience required; pediatric experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of solo full-spectrum emergency experience
  • Direct experience with medevac and patient care stabilization including intubations, chest tubes, and complicated airways; must have strong suturing skills
  • Alaska bush experience highly preferred
  • Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
