The need at this location is for ongoing coverage, so you can build a schedule that works for both you and the client! Location: Southeast Alaska

Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract

Date Range: ASAP start date (pending credentialing) with an ongoing rotation need


Job Specialties: Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine


Compensation:

  • $97.00 hourly rate
  • $145.50 hourly overtime rate
  • $145.50 hourly call-back rate
  • $225.00 daily call rate
  • $145.50 hourly holiday rate (limited holidays apply)
  • 2 paid travel days, paid 8 hours at the regular hourly rate (1 arrival, 1 departure)

Schedule:

  • Virtual and In-Person Urgent Care: Monday - Friday, 5:00pm-12:00am
  • Emergency Call: Monday-Friday, 12:00am-8:00am
  • Weekend Call: Friday at 5:00pm through Monday at 8:00am

Responsibilities:

  • Patient Volume, After Hours UC: Averages 1-2 patients per day
  • Patient Volume, Weekends: Averages 6-8 patients per day
  • Patient Volume, Emergency: Averages 1 per night
  • Staffing Mix: 3 Physicians, 1 additional APP, RNs, Administrative and Support Staff
  • Low to moderate acuity primary and urgent care with intermittent emergency stabilization
  • Virtual urgent care and in person duties
  • After Hours Call Coverage

Position Requirements:

  • Active Alaska State Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
  • Board Certified
  • Active BLS, ACLS, PALS, ATLS and BLSO/ALSO or CALS OB
  • Active DEA registration
  • Strong primary care and urgent care experience
  • Emergency Medicine experience
  • Direct experience with medevac and patient care stabilization including intubations, chest tubes, and complicated airways; must have strong suturing skills
  • Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
