Locum NP/PA – Multi-Specialty – Southwest Coastal Alaska

Location: Southwest Costal Alaska

Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract

Date Range: June 10th – July 20th, 2026

Schedule: 

  • 7 Days/Week – 7:00am-9:00am, 11:00am-1:30pm, & 5:00pm-7:00pm
  • On-Call 24/7

Compensation: Make $35,000k+ in just over 1 month!

  • $910.00 daily rate
  • $105.00 hourly overtime rate for each hour worked after 8 hours within a 24-hour period
  • 2 paid travel days (1 arrival, 1 departure), paid at the regular daily rate

Responsibilities:  

  • Patient Volume: Averages 6-15 per day
  • Staffing Mix: Solo provider clinic, Safety officers are EMS. Other APPs from nearby plants can be called to help if needed
  • Manage acute and chronic medical conditions, with a focus on occupational injuries and illnesses
  • Conduct thorough occupational health assessments and implement preventative measures to ensure workplace safety and compliance with OSHA standards

Requirements:

  • Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physicians Assistant (PA) license with the State of Alaska
  • Board Certified
  • Active BLS, ACLS
  • Active DEA registration
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards
  • Minimum 2 years of solo full-spectrum emergency experience
  • Direct experience with medevac and patient care stabilization including intubations, chest tubes, and complicated airways; must have strong suturing skills
  • Experience working in remote, medically austere environments
  • Alaska bush experience highly preferred
  • Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace a variety of cultures
