Locum NP/PA – PC/ER – Multi-Provider Villages – SW AK
06052B – Practice Medicine Where Your Skills will make a Lasting Difference. We are seeking Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) to provide Primary and Emergency care in some of the most remote villages in Southwest Alaska. In this role, you'll work closely with at least 1 other APP and provide full-scope medicine to an underserved population. Rotation dates are flexible, allowing providers to work around personal schedules. This is a great opportunity for providers looking to hone their skills and grow in their clinical practice. Location: Rural Southwest Alaska
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: July 2026 and Ongoing
Assignments: Rotation dates are flexible – work around your personal life!
- 3-4 week-long rotations are preferred
- 6 week first assignment to accommodate orientation
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Compensation: Make $25,000+ per month plus on-call pay!
- 1.5x holiday rate (limited holidays apply)
- 2 paid travel days (1 arrival, 1 departure)
- Access to training and educational resources
Responsibilities:
- Patient Volume, Clinic: Averages 8-12 per day
- Provider will be working with at least one other APP.
- On-Call Details:
- Provider may have secondary call responsibilities (no solo-call)
- Some villages have APPs and Health Aides to assist with call
- A Physician is always available via telemedicine if APPs need a consultation
Requirements:
- Active Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with the State of Alaska
- Active BLS, ACLS, & PALS
- ATLS preferred
- Active DEA registration
- OB & Peds experience preferred
- Experience working in remote Alaska is highly preferred
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
