05514J – We’re seeking 2 experienced NPs or PAs for remote solo-assignments in idyllic Southcentral Alaska. Location: Southcentral Alaska
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: February 2nd – July 15th, 2026 (2 weeks on, 2 weeks off or 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off – travel home between rotations!)
We’re looking for 2 providers total!
Schedule:
- 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, or 4 weeks on, 2 weeks off (choose your schedule and travel home between rotations!)
- Clinic: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
- On-Call: Every day while on assignment
Compensation:
- Make $11,487.00 in 2 weeks!
- Call-back Pay (minimum 1-hour guarantee for all call-backs)
Responsibilities:
- Patient volume, clinic: Averages 10 patients per day
- Patient volume, emergencies: Averages 1-2 per week
- On-Call Details: Call volumes are typically very light
- Staffing Mix: Solo-Provider assignment, but there may be a Health Aide available for support
Position Requirements:
- Active Alaska State Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Active BLS & ACLS
- ATLS & PALS preferred, but not required
- Active DEA registration
- Significant primary care & emergency experience required; pediatric experience preferred
- Minimum 2 years of solo full-spectrum emergency experience
- Direct experience with medevac and patient care stabilization including intubations, chest tubes, and complicated airways; must have strong suturing skills
- Alaska bush experience highly preferred
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
