Location: Southeast Alaska

Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract

Date Range: ASAP 3-6 months with the possibility of extending or permanent placement

Compensation: 

  • Hourly Rate Starting at $220

Schedule: Day and night shifts + additional administrative duties.

About: Don't pass up this opportunity! We're looking for a Locum Tenens Physicians for a 3-6-month Locum Tenens Medical Director assignment on a Rural Southeast Alaskan Island. You'll experience this scenic island across multiple seasons and find that it has no shortage of rich culture, outdoor activities, and amazing wildlife. This position requires a minimum of 5-years experience, and you'll be supervising a small team of dedicated providers. Don't let this amazing opportunity pass you by!

Responsibilities:

  • Direct Patient Care
  • Medical Staff Leadership & Oversight
  • Quality & Clinical Performance Oversight
  • Utilization & Care Coordination
  • Administrative Duties

Position Requirements: 

  • Active Alaska State Physician (MD/DO) license
  • Completed Accredited Residency (Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Med/Peds, or Emergency Medicine)
  • Board Certification (ABFP, ABIM, or ABEM)
  • Active BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Active DEA registration
  • APCA-C, HCQM, or CPHYADV certification preferred
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time
  • Supervises hospital-based physicians and APPs
  • Minimum 5-years leading medical staff function in a hospital/health system
