Location: Rural Montana

Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract

Date Range: Start ASAP pending credentialing. 6-month minimum commitment required (possibility to extend to 1+ years!)


Job Specialty: Nephrology


Compensation: $225.00 hourly rate


Schedule: PRN, with an expected 3 days-month (consecutive days on a planned schedule)


Responsibilities:

  • Provide full range of emergency care to patients of all ages
  • Individualized, goal-oriented nephrological care for adult patients
  • Recognize disease complications and implement appropriate therapeutic intervention
  • Knowledge of medications/dosages, side effects, and complications
  • Analyze medical procedure results and translate into appropriate interventions
  • Work effectively within the health care team and with Native American patients and families
  • Provide inter-facility transports when needed
  • Subject to peer review per Joint Commission standards
  • Follow facility policies, JCAHO, OSHA, IHS, and other regulatory standards

Position Requirements:

  • Active, Unrestricted US State Physician license
  • Board Certification with the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Nephrology
  • Degree from a State-Accredited professional program
  • Active BLS Certification
  • If working outside normal specialty training parameters, must provide certification of hospital privileges in that additional field
