Location: Rural Montana
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: Start ASAP pending credentialing. 6-month minimum commitment required (possibility to extend to 1+ years!)
Job Specialty: Nephrology
Compensation: $225.00 hourly rate
Schedule: PRN, with an expected 3 days-month (consecutive days on a planned schedule)
Responsibilities:
- Provide full range of emergency care to patients of all ages
- Individualized, goal-oriented nephrological care for adult patients
- Recognize disease complications and implement appropriate therapeutic intervention
- Knowledge of medications/dosages, side effects, and complications
- Analyze medical procedure results and translate into appropriate interventions
- Work effectively within the health care team and with Native American patients and families
- Provide inter-facility transports when needed
- Subject to peer review per Joint Commission standards
- Follow facility policies, JCAHO, OSHA, IHS, and other regulatory standards
Position Requirements:
- Active, Unrestricted US State Physician license
- Board Certification with the American Board of Internal Medicine and American Board of Nephrology
- Degree from a State-Accredited professional program
- Active BLS Certification
- If working outside normal specialty training parameters, must provide certification of hospital privileges in that additional field
