Locum NP/PA - PC/UC/EM Call - SW AK Island

06381D – This Locum Tenens opportunity spans multiple villages on a remote Southwest Alaskan island where you’ll provide essential primary, urgent, and emergency after-hours care to a grateful community. Location: Southwest Alaskan Island

Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract

Date Range: Rotations available in 2026 & 2027 (see dates below)

Job Specialty: Primary Care, Urgent Care, Emergency Call

Compensation:

• $875.00 daily rate (earned every day while on assignment)
• $875.00 daily travel rate (1 arrival day & 1 departure day)
• $1312.50 daily holiday rate (limited holidays apply)

Schedule:

• Clinic Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
• On-Call: Daily for emergencies and on weekends

Assignments: minimum 2-3 week long rotations preferred (longer if possible)

• October 30th - November 16th, 2026
• November 24th 2026 - January 18th, 2027
• December 15th 2026 - January 2nd, 2027

Position Requirements:

• Active Alaska State Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
• Active BLS & ACLS
• ATLS & PALS preferred, but not required
• Active DEA registration
• Minimum 2 years of solo full-spectrum emergency experience
• Solid Primary Care and Urgent Care skills
• Good triage skills
• Direct experience with medevac and patient care stabilization including intubations, chest tubes, and complicated airways; must have strong suturing skills
• Alaska bush experience highly preferred
• Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
