Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: October 20th - November 4th & November 18th - December 2nd
This position is posted as a Vendor Management System bid opportunity and is subject to standard vendor submission and evaluation processes.
Compensation:
- $1500.00 daily rate (24-hr call shift)
- $280.00 hourly call-back rate (3 hr gratis)
Schedule: 24-hour pager call shifts and callback as needed (3-hr gratis)
- 10/20/2026 at 0700 - 11/04/2026 at 0700
- 11/18/2026 at 0700 - 12/02/2026 at 0700
Responsibilities:
- Average Patient Volume: 4-5 patients per shift
- 8-bed department
- Staffing Mix: 3 RNs on staff
Requirements:
- Active Alaska State Physician (MD/DO) license
- Active Board Certification in General Surgery
- Active DEA registration (must be registered in AK prior to start)
- Active BLS, ATLS, ACLS
- 20-minute call response time
- Experience required in Laparoscopic Surgery (including hernioplasty)
- Experience in Obstetric & Gynecological surgery (including cesarean sections) preferred but not required
