Locum Physician - Primary Care - Rural SW Alaska

Location: Rural Southwest Alaska

Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract

Date Range: November 2026 and ongoing

Job Specialty: Family Medicine Physician

Assignments: Rotation dates are flexible - work around your personal life!

• 4-week rotation preferred
• Initial assignment includes a 1-week orientation

Schedule: 

• Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
• No Call
• No Weekends, No Holidays

Compensation: (make $30,000+ per month!)

• $190.00 hourly rate
• $285.00 holiday rate (limited holidays apply)
• 2 paid travel days, paid 8 hrs at the regular hourly rate (1 arrival, 1 departure)
• Access to training and educational resources

Facility Information:  

• Patient Volume, Clinic: Averages 10-12 patients per day
• Full clinic staff support and collaborative team environment

Requirements:

• Active Physician (MD/DO) license with the State of Alaska
• Board Certified in Family Medicine
• Active BLS, ACLS, & PALS
• Active DEA registration
• Must be able and willing to see patients of all ages
• OB & Pediatric experience highly preferred, but not required
• Experience working in remote Alaska is highly preferred
• Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
