Timeline

Temporary license is issued within six weeks (sometimes as early as 2 weeks), then permanent unrestricted license is granted at the quarterly Medical Board meeting.

Additional Documents Needed

• Verification of NCCPA Certificate
• Citizenship & Alien Status Declaration Form
• Notarized Affidavit Form including photograph taken within past 3 months.
• Verification of all other state licenses.
• Three references (at least two from a physician).

Supervision Agreements

Any PA who is certified by the NCCPA does not need a supervision agreement in Wyoming, per WYBOM guidelines. This does not necessarily mean the facility you work in has no supervision requirements, but you will be licensed in Wyoming without a supervision agreement.

Temporary License

All PA applications are automatically considered by the board for the expedited temporary license. This review is done by the board every week on a Friday. Within 2-4 weeks, you should receive a free temporary license to allow your legal practice in Wyoming until the board meets quarterly for final approvals. In order to receive a temporary license, the below criteria must be met:

• Application Form completed.
• $200 Fee is paid.
• Affidavit form and Citizenship & Alien Status form are received.
• State license verification.
• Board completes their NPDB record search.
• Provider has been continually licensed in good standing for the previous 3 years.
