Locum NP – Primary Care – SE AK – 15k+ per month!
05867B – We’re looking highly skilled Nurse Practitioners for a Locum Tenens opportunity in a historic town nestled in Southeast Alaska. Candidates must have at least 2-years experience in a primary care role. 2-3 month minimum commitment is preferred. Location: Southeast Alaska
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: Mid-April through September, 2026 (2-3 month minimum commitment preferred)
Locum-to-Perm option available!
Compensation: $15,000+ per month!
- $97.00 hourly rate
- $145.50 hourly overtime rate
- $145.50 hourly holiday rate (limited holidays apply)
- 2 paid travel days, paid 8 hours at the regular hourly rate (1 arrival, 1 departure)
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- No Weekends
- No Call
Responsibilities:
- Patient Volume, Clinic: Averages 10-18 patients per day
- Staffing Mix: APPs, RNs, MAs, Clinic Administration
- Low-Moderate acuity preventative care, chronic disease management, routine primary care
- General Primary Care procedures (skin biopsies, joint/trigger point injections)
Position Requirements:
- Active Alaska State Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Active BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Active DEA registration
- Minimum 2 years of primary care experience
- Experience with prenatal care preferred
- Experience with IUD placement preferred
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
