Location: Rural, Southcentral AK
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Position
Date Range: July & August Coverage (potential to extend)
This position is posted as a Vendor Management System bid opportunity and is subject to standard vendor submission and evaluation processes.
Compensation: $275.00 hourly rate
Assignment Dates:
- 07/16/2026 to 08/10/2026
- 08/19/2026 to 08/28/2026
- Potential for October coverage
Schedule:
- 4/10s schedule, 8:00am – 6:00pm
- Night Call
- Flexibility and willingness to cover as much as possible is important
Responsibilities:
- Clinic, ER, and Inpatient coverage
- Staffing Mix: RNs, MA, Administrative staff
Requirements:
- Active Alaska State Physician (MD/DO) License
- Board Certified (Family Medicine Board Certification preferred)
- Rural Health experience, including ED, Hospitalist experience highly preferred
- OB experience – newborn deliveries are received in the ED
- Experience with cesarian sections
- Active BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS & NRP certifications
- Active DEA registration
- Experience with Epic EMR preferred
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
- Alaska bush experience highly preferred
