06190B – We're recruiting a Family Medicine Physician with OB & Inpatient experience for a 3+ month Locum Tenens assignment based in beautiful Southeast Alaska. Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: Immediately Start Following Credentialing with an Ongoing Coverage Need (3-month minimum commitment)

Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
- OB, Clinic, Inpatient Pediatrics, Call 1:4
Responsibilities
- Full-spectrum Family Medicine care
- Prenatal and obstetrical care
- Preventive medicine and chronic disease management
- Women's health services
- Collaborate within an integrated care team model
- Admissions, rounding, discharge planning, and cross-coverage
- Recognize and stabilize critically ill pediatric patients for transfer
- Surgical Assist with cesarean section at discretion of primary surgeon
- Provide culturally responsive care to diverse patient populations
- Staffing Mix: FM Physicians, APPs, Nursing Staff, MAs, Integrated Care Team, Specialty Services

Position Requirements
- Active, unrestricted Alaska MD or DO license
- American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM) certification or eligibility required
- Active DEA registration
- Active BLS, ACLS, ALSO, PALS and NRP certification
- Recent experience providing prenatal care and managing labor and delivery independently
- Experience managing common pediatric inpatient conditions such as respiratory illnesses, dehydration, asthma exacerbations, infections
- Experience managing inpatient adult and pediatric patients
- Experience performing newborn assessments and routine newborn care
- Women's health experience
- Ability to function independently in a rural setting with limited specialist support
- Rural health and Alaska Native health experience beneficial
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
