Locum Physician – Primary Care – Rural SW Alaska
06233J – We are seeking board certified, Family Medicine Physicians to provide essential primary care in this distinctive Southwest Alaska location. Location: Rural Southwest Alaska
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: September 2026 and ongoing
Assignments: Rotation dates are flexible – work around your personal life!
- 4-week rotation preferred
- Initial assignment includes a 1-week orientation
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- No Call
- No Weekends, No Holidays
Compensation:
- $190.00 hourly rate
- $285.00 holiday rate (limited holidays apply)
- 2 paid travel days, paid 8 hrs at the regular hourly rate (1 arrival, 1 departure)

Facility Information:
- Patient Volume, Clinic: Averages 10-12 patients per day
- Full clinic staff support and collaborative team environment
Requirements:
- Active Physician (MD/DO) license with the State of Alaska
- Board Certified in Family Medicine
- Active BLS, ACLS, & PALS
- Active DEA registration
- Must be able and willing to see patients of all ages
- OB & Pediatric experience highly preferred, but not required
- Experience working in remote Alaska is highly preferred
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
