Location: Interior Alaska
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: March 12th – 26th, 2026. Additional, ongoing coverage needed.
Compensation: Make $6300.00+ per week!
- $900.00 daily rate (earned every day on assignment)
- $275.00 daily on-call rate (earned each day on-call)
- $1350.00 daily holiday rate (limited holidays apply)
- 2 paid travel days, paid at the daily rate (1 arrival, 1 departure)
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- After hours and weekend call
Responsibilities:
- Patient Volume, Clinic: Averages 7 per day, one hour per patient
- Patient Volume, ER: Averages 2 per day
- On-Call Details:
- Solo call, but other providers will respond if needed during an emergency
- Call is solo but with backup if needed
- Monday – Thursday: Call screener available
- Staffing Mix: 2-3 additional providers working in clinic; No Nursing or Medical Assistant staff
Position Requirements:
- Active Alaska State Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Active BLS & ACLS
- ATLS & PALS preferred, but not required
- Active DEA registration
- Provider required to draw and process labs, do X-Rays, and room patients
- Minimum 2 years of solo full-spectrum emergency experience
- Solid Primary Care and Emergency Medicine experience.
- PEDS & OB experience preferred and very helpful, not not required.
- Direct experience with medevac and patient care stabilization including intubations, chest tubes, and complicated airways; must have strong suturing skills
- Alaska bush experience highly preferred
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
