Locum NP – Primary Care – SE AK Island $15k+ per month!
05871B – We're recruiting Nurse Practitioners for a Locum Tenens assignment on a Rural Southeast Alaskan island. This scenic island has no shortage of rich culture, outdoor activities, and amazing wildlife. This role is based in an outpatient primary care clinic, where you will provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population. Candidates must have at least 2-years experience in a primary care role. 2-3 month minimum commitment is preferred. Are you ready for your next Alaskan adventure?
Location: Southeast Alaska
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: Mid-April through September, 2026 (2-3 month minimum commitment preferred)
Locum-to-Perm option available!
Compensation: $15,000+ per month!
- $97.00 hourly rate
- $145.50 hourly overtime rate
- $145.50 hourly holiday rate (limited holidays apply)
- 2 paid travel days, paid 8 hours at the regular hourly rate (1 arrival, 1 departure)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Responsibilities:
- Patient Volume, Clinic: Averages 12-16 patients per day
- Staffing Mix: APPs, RNs, MAs, Clinic Administration
- Low-Moderate acuity preventative care, chronic disease management, routine primary care
Position Requirements:
- Active Alaska State Nurse Practitioner (NP) license
- Active BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Active DEA registration
- Minimum 2 years of primary care experience
- Experience with prenatal care preferred
- Experience with IUD placement preferred
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
