Locum NP/PA – Primary Care – SW Alaska

We are seeking skilled Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants provide essential primary care in this distinctive location. Location: Rural Southwest Alaska
Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract
Date Range: September 2026 and ongoing
Assignments: Rotation dates are flexible – work around your personal life!
- 4-8 week-long rotations are preferred
- Initial assignment includes a 1-week orientation
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
- No Call
- No Weekends, No Holidays
Compensation:
- $105.00 hourly rate
- $157.50 hourly overtime rate
- 2 paid travel days, paid 8 hrs at the regular hourly rate (1 arrival, 1 departure)
- Access to training and educational resources
Facility Information:
- Patient Volume, Clinic: Averages 10-12 patients per day
- Full clinic staff support and collaborative team environment
Requirements:
- Active Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with the State of Alaska
- Nurse Practitioners: AANP certification required, FNP preferred
- Physician Assistants: NCCPA certification required
- Active BLS, ACLS, & PALS
- Active DEA registration
- 2 years of primary care experience preferred
- New grads accepted
- Must be able and willing to see patients of all ages
- OB & Pediatric experience highly preferred, but not required
- Experience working in remote Alaska is highly preferred
- Must be culturally sensitive and willing to embrace the native community and their culture
