Locum Pharmacist Northeast Montana

Location: Northeast Montana

Job Type: 1099 Locum Tenens Contract

Date Range: Start 7/13/26 -3-12 month assignment

Compensation: $80/hr

Responsibilities:

Full outpatient/ambulatory pharmacist

·      Screen patient charts to ensure medication orders align with chart notes, labs, vitals, and allergies

·      Process new medication orders and fill prescription orders

·      Check filled prescription orders for accuracy

·      Educate patients on medication therapy and provide patient education

·      Collaborate with pharmacy team and providers for timely, accurate pharmaceutical services

·      Answer provider questions on drug therapy; question providers when appropriate

·      Recognize and respond to life-threatening emergencies and initiate resuscitation measures

·      Recognize and respond to adverse drug reactions

·      Answer/screen telephone calls, take refill requests, input outside prescriptions into the system

·      Perform controlled substance audits as directed

·      Administer immunizations (certification required)

·      IV admixtures and inpatient drug distribution per Service Unit policies and patient care needs

·      Participate in annual safety, infection control, and other mandatory training

Position Requirements:

  • BLS
  • Unrestricted pharmacist license – any state
  • Immunization delivery certification preferred
  • 1-3 years of clinical pharmacy experience in ambulatory or inpatient care. 
  • PGY-1 residency or equivalent clinical experience preferred.
